I’m so excited for kids to get their hands on a copy of my second book in the Rizzlerunk Club series, THE BIG BAD LIES! This book stems from my own experience in fourth grade when my best friend and I told each other some big whopper lies involving a murdered classroom rat and a massively inappropriate doodle. I remember the feeling of carrying my lie around with me and it was heavy! Why do people lie? With this book, I set out to explore the pitfalls, ethics and potentially heavy emotions around lying. I hope kids can experience the feelings that choosing to be dishonest can bring. In the illustrations, I personify the lies into big fuzzy monsters hanging on Lily’s and Darby’s backs. There’s a drawing on almost every page of the book!
Leslie Patricelli Enters the World of Crypto NFTs with a Collection of Dandelion People.
Before Leslie Patricelli was an award-winning children's book author and illustrator, she created a world of Dandelion People using pen and ink and a big box of Crayola crayons. Now, in this NFT collection on OpenSea, she is making them public for the very first time. Soon you will be able to own one or collect them all!
“What am I doing in this drawing?” “Why am ones and zeroes?” “Am I worth anything?” The #DandelionDoodle people by Leslie Patricelli ask these questions and many more. Will you find the answers? Who knows, but they're awfully fun to look at!
The #DandelionDoodle people live in an existentialist utopia, yet are plagued by both existential and mundane questions residing in their fluffy, round hair.
