The Rizzlerunk Club books are based in part on my own memories from the the fourth grade — often hilarious memories, but sometimes anxiety-inducing, nerve-wracking, embarrassing, or sad. I invite kids to delve into the joyous, yet often complicated ups and downs of fourth-grade friendships. I hope to have them eagerly reading, laughing and enjoying the silly stories, while and also contemplating their own decisions and how they might affect others. I had so much fun drawing a comic illustration f0r almost every page. As for the Rizzlerunk (Riz-zle-runk) name? Well, what can I say? We made it up in the fourth grade! Enjoy! — Leslie Patricelli
